This hand-poured candle is a sensory delight for cat lovers! The sea salt & peony fragrance perfectly balances fresh coastal notes with soft florals – subtle enough not to overwhelm but present enough to enjoy. What a lovely candle! This candle is made by Uncommon Flame and I have ordered several of their candles and I have been impressed with all of them. This candle is large, 16 ounces, with a single cotton wick. It is handmade from 100% soy wax, which burns cleaner and longer than paraffin. The candle is organic, non-toxic and allergy friendly. I enjoy the saying “I Love my Cat & Maybe Like 3 Other People,” which made me smile. It measures approximately 3 3/4” tall, the top is 3 1/2” in diameter. The candle is in a clear glass jar with straight sides and it has a metal lid, which is nice to keep dust and debris off the candle between burnings. I did have difficulty unscrewing the lid of this candle; I finally had to take it to my next door neighbor who works out to get it opened.I ordered the fragrance “Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper”, which is my favorite scent so far! It is amazing without being overpowering. It has notes of orange, mandarin, apple, soft neroli (an essential oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree), rose and musk. It is not too floral, or musky, or cloying. It has a nice presence in the the room. The candles from Uncommon Flame are always well made, slow burning and nicely scented. The only difficulties I have had with their candles is they do have a tendency to tunnel but they are incredibly slow burning and long lasting. This candle is rather expensive, likely due to the premium ingredients used. It would make a great gift for the cat lover in your life. I recommend it. Made in the USACARE INSTRUCTIONS: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Trim wick to 1/4” before lighting. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. I will be very clear from the beginning that I can’t rate the burn time or cleanliness, as it was a gift; however, I did smell it before I gave it away and I loved the inner peace smell. It was earthy and felt strong, but not overwhelming.The candle itself is cute, especially for a cat lover. I think most ‘cat ladies’ would appreciate the sentiment.Hopefully, it does have the full burn time promised; if so, it will be a good deal.Either way, the recipient loved it. She is a cat and candle lover, so it was a perfect fit.

This is a good clean smelling candle, not overpowering and not underwhelming either. It’s a soy based candle that burns slowly and evenly which I appreciate. No tunneling in the wax or oversized flames, as with all candles just keep the wick trimmed.

Received this candle recently and I had to give it a try. I noticed that the Sea Salt and Peony has a very delicate floral scent. Burning it for a while in a medium space, the scent was not overpowering and I definitely appreciate that. After 4 hours of burning, the candle was barely consumed and there was a small 1″ diameter wide by 1/2″ deep hemisphere used up. I’m not sure that it’ll actually make it all the way to 120hr, but if not, it’d probably be in the ballpark. I didn’t see any smoke or soot from the candle and i assume that is because it uses soy wax as opposed parafin or synthetic waxes that other candles use… In any case, the label is hilarious, and would make a great gift for the cat lover in your life. “I Love My Cat & Maybe Like 3 Other People” describes a lot of cat people and I know a number of people who feel that way so that amuses me. And the label art with the cat is quite cute. I would love to check out their other scents as well once I finish enjoying this candle!

Like most, I got this candle for the design of the candle. It the candle looks better in person than in does in the photos. Every time I look at it, it makes me smile. It’s the perfect design for the crazy cat lady in your life. It’s a good size, too.The candle itself is okay. I believe the listing when it says that it’s non-toxic soy, as (sad to say) those types of candles don’t burn quite as nicely as the fake chemical ones do. It burns fine, and the scent is perfectly okay. But it’s not the type of scent or burn quality that’s going to blow you away. Such is life as we all try to move away from those toxic chemicals.Recommended.
