The best thing about this wick trimmer, in my opinion, is the color. I have a silver one, and it works fine, but it’s constantly dirty and sooty. Now, I know that’s a small, dumb thing in the grand scheme of things…but I feel like if there’s a better way to do something, then why not do it? The black trimmer is the way to go! This one works great and looks nice too.

I’ve always wanted a set of wick trimmer scissors, but just never purchased them – partly because of the price. These are half the cost of a popular candle brand’s scissors that look just the same. I’ve always used regular scissors the best I could (sometimes it’s hard in small candle holders when the wick is toward the bottom).Because I’ve eyed them often, I can say the quality of these scissors is pretty much the same as any candle store brand.These are designed to “reach into” the candle holder. The purpose it to minimize the smoldering smoke that happens when a wick is too long.I suggest giving these a try if you are a frequent candle burner.
