I needed stands to display some wood plaques. These were an inexpensive solution and worked really well. The stand can be adjusted to angle an item to a more upright or leaning back position. They are sturdy for the weight of these plaques. Arrived in less than a day too! Fantastic!

The headline says it all. I really wanted the white version of these, but didn’t want to wait the couple extra days to get them. I’m using them to stage my home for resale, and I needed them for the built in china cabinets. They worked well. They are a staple in retail, and these reminded me of my first jobs spend in the retail arena. An oldie, but a goody.

I’m a law student and was in the market for a book stand that could improve my ergonomics. I was really hoping I could find one that could double as a stand for my laptop as well as for my >5 lb textbooks. The trick was finding one that could be fully adjustable, one that could stand at a 45 degree angle for my laptop and at a 60 degree angle for my textbooks. I was looking at the “Boyata laptop holder”, the “adjustable height and angle ergonomic book holder”, and the “satechi r1”. I had issues with all three, as they were either rather large, unlikely to support the weight of the books, or unlikely to be able to hold one of the items. The Gibson performs wonderfully on all these things, and at an unbeatable price. The Gibson is fully adjustable, incredibly lightweight, thin, and portable. As the close up third image shows, the rubber rings between the hinges create friction which help keep the stand in place.Typing: this stand is steady enough for long term typing. With the laptop, there is a slight vibration when typing. It could be the desk but I think it could have something to do with the contact of the laptop to the hinge (image 2). The top display ledge cannot support the weight of the 4.49lb laptop, which really isn’t an issue except that it maybe causes slight vibration when typing. A wireless keyboard would instantly remedy this for those worried. No balancing issues, no wobbling, and I can choose whatever angle is most comfortable for me. On the iPad, typing is a dream as there is no slight vibration. In short, it’s not perfect but I will have no problems typing Anything of any length on my laptop or iPad with this stand.Reading: I was wary about this stand as it doesn’t have full back support, but as you can see from the images it works pretty well. It’s very sturdy so I can highlight and tab with no issue. It gets a little tricky when first placing the book on the stand, but that’s because of the poor weight distribution of the textbook itself. In short, it works much better than expected and satisfies my need for a book stand. This stand is perfect for anyone whose looking to improve their desktop ergonomics on the go. Unbeatable price and portability. Highly recommend it.

I use them to display books at book signings, and they’re absolutely perfect. They hold the books upright, very sturdily, and they’re not bulky, so they don’t detract from the book itself. They’re also easy to transport, as they’re lightweight, and they fold up after the signing. Perfect!!!

Pluses: Nice items and inexpensive. Sturdy enough for the purpose and even for more (I am using them as book holders!)Downs: they came a little dusty, which is weird since they were boxed. The hinges are a little too hard to move in position (but between too tight and too loose, I prefer the former, otherwise my book will fall). Minor things, so 5 stars anyway.Silly that on Amazon you always have to buy large sets even if you need one: Amazon is the new COSTCO!

So happy I found these. I was looking for something to display photos at our upcoming family reunion. I took photos so you could see, the first picture is a simple eight and half by 11 photo, the second is 18 inches high by 16 wide foamboard, the third photo is 16 inches high by 20 inches wide foam board. Holding up the photos quite well not slipping on the table.
