I love Coolaroos, but for some reason they use plastic mounting hardware. If you’re here, it’s probably because yours failed like mine did, where the wand hooks into the hardware.Rest assured, it won’t happen again with these solid, well-made metal ones.I replaced the ones on my lanai Coolaroo about 5 years ago and it’s going strong.These are for a new shade I’m installing elsewhere-I’m pitching the plastic ones from the get-go!

I got this to replace the bracket of my exterior sun shades that became brittle after a few years out in the sun and the plastic clip that holds it in place finally snapped when trying to remove the shades for the season. This looks like a close 1 to 1 replacement of the original. I haven’t had a chance to install it yet but after inspecting it in hand it moves very smoothly and should be a drop-in replacement. If it lasts as many years outside as my original did then I’ll be very happy with it.
