These are lovely. They look great right out of the package, no ironing needed and no noticeable odor. They definitely block a good deal of light that would normally come through the window. I needed that because one of the bedroom windows faces west and gets all of the afternoon sun and heat. It does an excellent job for that purpose. We have shutters so these just add a nice extra look and color to them. I didn’t want a heavy drape.

I purchased this curtain for my guest room where I frequently host travel nurses. My long-term occupant works the night shift and I needed something to block out the light so she could sleep during the day. This curtain works wonderfully and is very pretty to look at. I currently have it just hanging in order to cover the window and it is mounted using a tension rod. There is a set of mini blinds behind it contributing to additional light blocking, but I believe it does a nice job on its own. I would definitely buy these again and recommend them to friends and family.
