This blind was super easy to install and blocks light effectively. The cells are rather small but do a pretty good job of blocking heat as well. It went up super easy with the included hardware and was as simple as clicking into place once the brackets were in place. Only thing I have an issue with is you have to lift it up and pull it down at perfect dead center on the bottom or one side gets cocked weird…..my suggestion, move it either way, up or down, with both hands or it’ll piss you off…..so I took a star off for the aggravation, lol. For my purpose and the window I chose it for it’ll work fine as it won’t be moved up or down often, we leave it partially open most of the time anyway. If you can handle the two-handed operational preference for performance it’s a good blind but a tad expensive…..if you can’t, I wouldn’t blame you if you looked elsewhere…..it comes down to what you’ll tolerate, lol.

These blinds are very nice. I was initially worried that the material wouldn’t be sturdy enough as I used these as a replacement for the mini blinds that got damaged in the kids room and it turns out that these were a great replacement for them. The material they are made out of feels like good quality and there being no wand is nice, it makes it so it cant get pulled off and lost or bent. they glide up and down smoothly over all these are a bit pricey but I am going to get another set for the other window to match.

So, this seems like a really wonderful product – though I thought I was buying the version of this that DIDN’T require installation with screws, which they DO offer. I didn’t measure the kitchen window I was going to use this for, however, so was unable to even attempt installation. Lesson of The Day: Measure needed window length and width BEFORE purchase! If it weren’t TOO SMALL to fit where I needed it to over my kitchen window, this seems like it would be an easy-to-install, wonderful solution anyone’s blind/privacy needs.

I’ll start off by saying I accidentally ordered a size too big to fit inside my window and a size too small to totally cover the window when hung outside. With that said, these blinds still block a lot of light. We have a window that is in an alcove above our front door. The light is nice in the cold months, but not so pleasant when it’s hot. This works great up there. They were easy to install and are very well made. I’d like to get additional sets for my bedroom as well.
