I have looked for years fro a good half moon shade! My bedroom faces the south and when the moon is in the right position blows directly onto my bed through that window! I had finally put a shade in the window but it was considered “room darkning” and not black out so some light still filtered through. My half moon is only 47″ inches and the closest size was to go up that 1 inch to the 48″. I had to take an inch off the bottom to make it fit. The self stick adhesive on the bottom is pretty sticky and stuck to the window ledge where I needed it to go! so far it is blocking out almost all of the light, the moon has not been full and cloudless tho so we shall see, I have high hopes!

Measurements were spot on. Materials were ok for a budget priced window shade of this sort. I did have a little trouble keeping the folds from bunching up initially but with a little time and patience I got it to look very nice. The glue on the sides is very strong and holds in place well. Just be sure to clean the surfaces for any dust before trying to apply. I suggest using soap and water on a slightly damp rag the day before. Then let it dry overnight so its completely dry. Then apply and it will stick forever. Does a decent job at blocking out sunlight. Looks nice enough. Very good value at this price point IMO.

It’s no rocket science. These shades are easy to install. No need to drill any holes, just use the included 3M tapes. If you need to measure like I did, make sure you cut it as straight as you can. The instructions say to use a knife, but you will most likely not be able to cut straight down. No worries, however, just make sure the side that you cut is facing the center. The white color of the shades matches my other pull-down shades. These shades block light very well.

The Arch Window Blackout Shade for 48” X 24” Windows (ASIN: B0DD6QX6LY) looks great installed. The blinds come with an adhesive strip already applied to each outside edge and an “arch accessory” (the center support piece). Printed instructions are part of the box label. The blind worked well. The directions are not correct. The instructions state to “Measure the (arch) window, cut the blind to half the width of the bottom of the arch.” The arch accessory has a center section that takes up about 0.5” itself, meaning that now the blind, cut as directed, is too large for the space. My situation. The blind for a 48” X 24” arch window arrives 23.5” long. I measured my 48” window as directed and, per the directions, I should have already been 0.5” too short. However, it was too long. I removed another 1/8” from the length and it barely fit. My recommendation is that one should consider measuring from the center point of the base of the arch to several locations along the arch. Take the shortest measurement and subtract 3/8” to determine the proper cut length. Do verify to see if this will work for your situation.I have also found that achieving a good, balanced installation the first attempt is difficult, especially using adhesive to attach the blind. I also like to be able to remove the blind sometimes and then reinstall it later. This is difficult when using adhesive strips. I changed the plan by adding hook and loop strips to both the blind and the window seal. I directly attached the adhesive strip of the blind to the adhesive that was on the back of the hook and loop material. If I need to reposition or remove the blind, I can gently separate the hook and loop material with the back side of a table knife. To attempt that does not usually work out too well with adhesive strips.

Ordered as a temporary stop gap for a window. Was easy to use and it fit as expected. Make sure to clean the window well ahead of installation and it will be easy to install.

I have this one annoying window that let’s sun in and heat the room up. I got the shade to block that. It was easy to cut to size and assemble in the window. I would say after a few months, the double sided tape started to come undone from the windowsill. The paper fan would start to lift up. I had to go back up there with a ladder and push it back down. Still a good deal and fits perfectly in the dome window. I like this option and not to buy curtains.

I picked up one of these Arch Window Shades, the white cellular one, 36 by 18 inches, because the afternoon sun blasts right through the half-moon window in the living room. It was making it pretty tough to watch TV with all that glare. I figured I’d give this thing a shot.Getting it up was pretty straightforward. The no-drill aspect was a big selling point for me, and it lived up to that. Didn’t have to break out the toolbox, which is always a plus. It fits the arch well, and the honeycomb design does a solid job blocking out the light. The room is definitely darker, and more importantly, the glare on the TV is gone. That’s the main reason I bought it, and it delivers on that front. The white color is fine; it just kind of blends in, which is what I wanted. Now, as for what I’m not crazy about, the material feels a little on the lighter side. I’m hoping it holds up over time, especially with the sun hitting it directly every day. It’s a cordless design, which is clean looking, but adjusting it can sometimes be a little finicky to get it perfectly even. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s something I noticed. Overall, though, it’s doing the job I needed it to do, and that’s what counts. That pesky sun glare is a thing of the past.
