I really like these. They face the sun most of the day so the black is faded on the backside only. Last forever if taken care of.

Blessed Darkness! My bedroom in my new house has a massive six-foot east-facing window, and the sunlight blasted through it like the fist of an angry God every morning. It was waking me up far earlier than I needed (or wanted) to be awake, so I decided something had to be done. The windows had blinds already installed, but they did little to mitigate the Sun’s early morning wrath. Spray painting the window black seemed a little excessive, so I decided to get some dark chocolate black-out curtains (they matched my handsome tan/chocolate bed). These were reasonably priced, and I was impressed with how they looked – nice big grommets, and attractive fabric. I used a strip of loop-back tape to attach the two panels in the middle, to prevent the CHA vents from blowing the curtains apart overnight. I awoke with a giddy titter, as I slept all the way until 10:30am! (one of those rare days when I had nothing to do, and nowhere I had to be), without being awoken by the sun’s merciless gaze even once. Victory!

What a bargain! These curtains are unbelievably light-weight yet they do block the light [and heat!] amazingly well. The fabric is very nice quality and has the slightest sheen to them which gives the appearance of a very high-end product. The panels hang beautifully as well!I ordered 2 sets [4 panels]; 1 of the panels is about an inch or so shorter in length than the others [hence the 4-start review instead of 5], but since I’m using these curtains in my south-facing office, it isn’t that big an issue [I just had the shorter panel installed on the far end].FYI…instead of paying a pretty penny for a decorative curtain rod, we used a simple, inexpensive galvanized pipe from Home Depot and a couple of inexpensive metal pole brackets. I gives a clean, industrial look to the finished product!

I was looking for some blackout curtains for our breezeway because that’s where my kids play on the XBox, and also where our dogs spend a lot of their time. It can get very bright and very hot in there. I really wanted to find matching curtains for the front door window, the regular windows and the slider that goes out to the backyard, so I was thrilled to come across these extremely affordable curtains in all the sizes/styles I needed. They are very nice quality, were able to be hung up straight from the package without needing to be ironed, and they do a great job of darkening the room. I’m very happy with them so far!

___________________________________________________________________________________EDIT: I got another set, the 45, to put UNDER the 54 inch. As light could come under the 54, the 45 inch were perfect to put right next to the window to block light (just touched the windowsill on inside of window), then had the 54 on the outside. My room is darker than a movie theatre! Helps my dog sleep longer 🙂 as he wants to get up at first light, which helps ME sleep longer. PLUS with both curtains, big difference in noise and keeping in heat or cold.Even getting BOTH they were under $40 total and what price can you put on sleep and saving on electric or gas bills!_____________________________________EDIT: OK as I got these to block out the BRIGHT light shining in my window at night, I closed my door and it was PITCH BLACK….WITH a street light and an outside light outside my bedroom on. SO SUCCESS at what I needed them for.As my window faces west, yes, a few hours a day, not total black out, but still close and WELL worth the money and then some!________________________________________________________________________________I actually got these on Prime Day. They were 14.39 TOTAL with my free Prime shipping!First, a little background. There is a street light RIGHT outside my apt. I prefer just having blinds, but even with the blinds closed, it’s like a night light…all night. NOT sleeping well (just moved in and right away started looking for black out curtains!).I got the 54 inch long ones and if I had gotten the longer ones, it would likely be totally black out, but as it is, DARK ENOUGH FOR ME! It went from BRIGHT, to more cave-like!I was going to toss them on low in the dryer to remove any wrinkles, but the way they were folded, looked like just a crease and they look fine to me. Had them up on a cheapie curtain rod in about two mins.LOVELY SLIGHT SHEEN to them! They look much more expensive (I would have paid 70 for them, well-sewn) and VERY nice shade of medium gray that goes GREAT with my bedroom (done in white, gray, black with some cobalt blue accents). There are a few hours of the day a bit more light comes in. IF YOU REALLY want black out, at this price, I would say get two sets, total of four panels, and just DOUBLE THEM as in back to back. Tonight will be my first night trying them with the street light and if not quite dark enough, I would think of getting another set to do that.I WOULD DEFINITELY SAY …..TAKE A CHANCE. ONE OF THE BEST DEALS I HAVE EVER GOTTEN ON AMAZON and I have been an Amazonian for 14 years!

I purchased these for my popup camper since I needed curtains that would provide some privacy at night when the lights are in the camper. I didn’t want people outside to see shadows through the canvas, but I didn’t want curtains with a lining. I purchased the 54″ length knowing I needed to hem them to 48″ so that they were above the bed rails, cabinets and seating. My first attempt was too long and when I ripped the hem apart, the curtains were ok – there was no damage. These are made of quality material! I purchased the dark gray and they were a nice solid color.
