Top quality PVC strips. It got my attention the build quality of it, it really is very durable, I might say is even better than my blinds, it wont bend at all and stays in place making itself part of the window. The installation was fairly easy, I cut it with a small hand saw to fit my windows size and then peeled the back for a quick perfect installation. At the beginning at thought it was a bit expensive but is well worth it for the quality of the item and how good it looks.

These are amazing! Totally solved my light gap issues. I have my blind mounted inside my window and installed these on the inside and it fits perfectly. My blind goes up and down with ease inside of these things and I can open and close my window no problem. I had to cut them because there was plenty of extra and they cut easily with a pair of heavy duty snipers. They also came with self adhesive tape and the proper screws, I didn’t use the tape at all just used my drill and the included screws. They seem sturdy and look practically invisible because they are white like my window trim.

These do a relatively good job of blocking the light from the sides. The first pair I got came broken, due to inadequate packaging from the seller or manufacturer. The second one was better, and merely needed to be cut to size. The instructions say to go from top to bottom on each side, but it was too tight with my blinds. So I cut them from slightly below the top part of the blinds.A potential problem is light from above the blinds or at the bottom. For that, I got some brush weather stripping 9/16 from Amazon and put some behind the blinds along the top. It would also be easy to glue a strip of that along the bottom of the blinds, which would work better than trying to add another section of plastic. The felt can also be used behind the sides of the top part of the blinds if necessary, so don’t worry if you have to cut the top part shorter to make room. These are rigid enough to do their job, with enough flex to account for minor warp in the window frame. Nevertheless, the thin tape might not block light along 100% of the sides. In my case, thicker tape would have been a problem since I have limited clearance, but if needed, a thin bead of caulk would do the job and make these look built into the frame. I’d recommend checking the sides of your windows with a four foot metal straight edge to look for warping or unevenness, and gauge how much clearance you have on each side before considering other options.I haven’t tried painting these, but the white goes well enough with things that I might be able to get by without it. However, they should be easy enough to paint after applying some Zinsser primer.

I love the idea of these and it looked like the perfect solution as the binds have a gap to the sides because the top of them is thicker than the bottom due to the way they are designed. Actually I know it would have been the perfect solution except my window set up is weird! We moved so I assumed the windows were like everything I’ve had in the past! I was wrong! I got these and then realized I can’t use them on any of my windows as there is no flat area for these to adhere to. Mine have weird ridges and valleys… So they didn’t work for me but I still give them 5 stars because they were nicely shipped and packaged. The adhesive looked nice and I really think they would have worked if it hadn’t been for my window set up! It’s a great quality product just didn’t work for my needs.

I took delivery on some 80 inch strips today and installed them on my bedroom windows. We have cellular blackout blinds, inside mount, and the strips worked nicely to cover the gaps on the sides. My windows are 82.25 inches tall, so I was fortunate to not need to trim the strips. On some similar products people complain about the difficulty of trimming without causing unsightly damage, but I can’t comment on that.Pros:- My room is now significantly darker with the blinds closed- The white surface facing the interior of the room is attractive / high quality- The packaging was very protective, no damage during shipping- The tape is quite sticky, I’m confident they won’t fall offCons:- The tape’s glue could use a bit more thickness / goopiness to form a complete seal on a bumpy wall. A tiny bit of light shines through the crack and I’ll probably close it off with putty or toothpaste or something. Not deducting a star because it’s not a big deal.
