Ended up using two layers of the rope for each set of blinds. They don’t move around as much with the fans on.

These curtain weights are a string of small metal pieces linked together and covered with cloth-like material rope. The weights are a little heavy when you hold the entire 10 yards of rope, but when you hold a small portion of the rope, it is very light.I sewed this on by hand along the bottom of a light silky decorative shower curtain (see photo). This cannot be done with a sewing machine because of the metal pieces inside the rope. I attached one layer of rope and it seems to be working okay in keeping the curtain down and not floating. I ended up adding a second layer of rope and it is weighing it down much better. These weights are not waterproof, so if you use them on a shower curtain like I did, make sure there is a plastic liner behind it. There is plenty of material for several applications so I also attached them to the living room drapes. The window drapes were much easier because the hems were wide and I was able to just fish it through without any sewing. I also doubled the rope on all four panels and it worked great.I am pleased with this product.

They are not super heavy, I had to take them double but they are very easy to work with. They can easily be cut to length, too. I used them for some very lightweight outdoor curtains and seems to work good so far. The price is fair for the product.

I know how to thread a needle, patch a small hole or sew a button on. Not much more than that. I purchased new drapes for my second bedroom, hung them on the rod and unfortunately, they flare at the bottom and blow easily if the window is open. Since they were new, I thought over time they would hang into place and the wrinkle would disappear. We the wrinkles are gone, but they still flare at the bottom.A little extra weight at the bottom seemed like that might help. But no way would I be able to sew the entire length of my draperies. Here is how I did it and I’m pretty proud to say it was quick and easy.I cut the curtain tape to length and tied a knot on both ends.cut a small hole on one end of the bottom hem of my drapes and started feeding the curtain weight through, holding one end of my drapes high so that gravity would help the weighted tape fall through to the other end. Worked great! The tape is heavy enough to stay in place at the bottom of the hem.

After reading many review I bought this knowing I would double the string to get the weight I needed on my flags outside. They were easy to double and worked great.
