I bought these for what I think was a great price. I installed them in place of the previous normal cheaper style venetian blinds I had that were letting in too much sun. They were shining directly onto my face/eyes in the morning and waking me up earlier than desired sometimes. These blinds totally block out all of the sun and work exactly as desired. They are able to be pulled down and lifted up and so far have kept that elasticity to do both. They came with tiny imperfections, but nothing that made them less worthwhile. I will update if they have any issues or things change. Tl:dr, I would recommend.

I chose several of these shades for my upstairs bedrooms and study windows. Each of those rooms get considerable sunlight in sumer months, and these shades helped cut down on the heat in those rooms in summer. There are also 2 windows in my bedroom that are in direct line with security lights on a neighbor’s house, one of which has to be on 24 hours a day. These shades have made it possible for me to sleep undisturbed by light from that source. And all of them being cellular, they also keep a considerable amount of cold contained. Although the windows are double pane, they still allow cold air transfer in the depth of New England winter.

1.) installation is a breeze.2.) Installed blinds require minimal effort to raise and lower.3.) They are indeed room darkening (in direct sunlight they do let in a tiny tiny bit of light. This looks more like it is from the seams)4.) The are best installed on the inside of the window frame to keep light from coming through on the sides.

My cats destroyed my 22 year old mini blinds. I moved where the chair that assisted them from jumping on the window ledge. They have 5 other windows they can look out from. I can sleep late without streaks of light waking me. Yay!

Without a doubt this product meets the expectation I had for it. We wanted to get blinds that completely blocked out the light as we had the cheapest blinds that you can get at Home Depot for years here and it always left a glare on the television that is across from these windows. As of putting these blinds up there is zero glare on the TV, the dogs do not destroy them by trying to look out the window, and we feel much safer because we have a toddler in the home and we have heard so many stories of tragedies that we are very glad these blinds were within our budget. I highly recommend them. Also installation was incredibly easy.
