   Works but the edges of the fabric were already fraying when it arrived and the photos made me think I would be purchasing a slightly classier travel black out shade product rather thank something kind of dingy and poorly constructed… However on the positive side the product does its job in blocking out 99 percent on the light and helped me sleep like a baby. For the quality of the product it should be priced less but it does work.

   I bought this for my son’s nursery. We had blackout curtains in his room, but they were ineffective and summer means sunsets and light coming through them until 10:00 pm or later and it just wasn’t working.This product is a little bit more expensive than similar options out there, but it seems to be worth it. The blackout fabric is great and the silver backing does work to deflect heat. My only complaint about the fabric is that it did come with some small pinholes along the creases. Because I hung it behind an existing pair of curtains, it’s not an issue for our house.It comes with two options for securing the fabric to your window frame: removable Velcro and suction cups. I’ve tried both, and they both work fairly well. The suction cups are nice, but placement is tricky and takes some practice. It’s a great solution for travel. The adhesive Velcro is nice for more “permanent” placement (and it’s what I will use at home) but because it is removable, the adhesion isn’t super-strong and I’m not sure how long it will last.Overall,

   This product literally gave me time back. My LO will not go to sleep if she sees daylight. The length of the fabric was long enough to allow me to cover 2 medium size windows. The velcro is genius and works great. (I put it up every night and remove it in the morning). The suction power is not that good but with the velcro strips you don’t even need it. Great value for money.

   I am ordering my second set after using this for over two years now. My first set is fine, but I want the ability to cover more windows when desired. I use the sticky straps on the curtain, and I put the Velcro cups up on the windows. I can cut them to whatever size I need. They block out all light, they fit in my carry on, and I use them on almost every trip I take!!I’m including a picture of one on a skylight to show how well it stays up, and there is a corner deliberately flapped down so you can see how I attach it.

   This really helped improve the sleep of our baby, especially at night. She is sensitive to light. We have the Snoo bassinet, but the blackout shades were necessary to help relax her and signal its time for a long stretch of sleep. She’s now 4 months and sleeps from roughly 730p to 6a and the shades have helped us move her bed time to earlier in the evening from 830p or 9p.

   Purchased to make the nursery darker for daytime naps. We have very large windows (33” w and 68” L) so one sheet had enough fabric for one window. But if you have standard windows, there’s enough fabric, suction cups, and adhesive strips to do a few windows!Note: We did not end up needing the suction cups. The fabric strips work great.
