I purchased the Artscape Old English Window Film 92 x 183 cm because I had a set of perfectly clear glass doors out onto a sun porch that I’m using as a temporary catch all as I unpack the moving boxes. It’s right off of the living room and I hated looking out at the junk, but I wanted the light. For a while I made do with some of that clear Gallery Glass faux stained glass stuff, and while it was fine it wasn’t quite formal enough for my tastes. (On panes that large it looked a bit like a shower door, not the vibe I was going for. You can see it in the photos in the lower panes before I peeled it off.)My requirements were moderately obnoxious: it had to be cheap, clear with dark “leading,” stay in place once applied, but still be easily removable, look appropriate to my 1910 home, and be fairly authentic in appearance. That’s a lot to ask of some plastic.I went over and over and over the possibilities, and though this was a bit pricey compared to many, it is by far the best. A truly outstanding product. The vinyl is heavy and strong, comes rolled (not folded and creased as some other brands seem to) and even includes a little squeegee tool to press out air bubbles. Once up it looks pretty darn real, and you must actually be right up on it to tell that it’s merely vinyl, and even then it’s only the leading that gives it away. It really is very convincing. It even seems to refract light ever so slightly, as though it were real glass. As for privacy, it obscures but does not obstruct. I would not use it in a bathroom or bedroom and expect privacy, but if you want to meander around in your jammies it should be fine for that.Someday I hope to have real leaded glass installed but that will be a long time from now, and I am very pleased with this in the meantime.Make sure that you check and recheck your measurements, and remember that it is centimeters, not inches. You’ll not get more than one or two windows per roll, so factor that in when planning. I did the doors you see here and had enough to do a 29×39 plate glass window in the adjacent dining room (with a little judicious fiddling), making it look even more authentic, as though they were part of the house originally. It’s been up 6 months and is still rock solid.Excellent choice. I recommend it!

Best window film ever. Easy to install. Looks very high end. Great for privacy but lets in plenty of light. I bought this twice , I liked it so much. Bigger sheet for larger windows. Thicker than most films. Sticks well. Cleaned windows with vinegar first then windex.

If you want a good window film, Artscape is the way to go. We tried several others but we’re very thin and hard to manage. This went up so easy and I still have lots of light coming in and privacy too. Nice designs too!
