   Years back as a decoration, my wife purchased an antique style 18th century perforated tin wind proof candle lantern. Very nice, and to enjoy it every night without having to burn real candles in it, we bought one of these. I put the batteries in it and screwed on the cap and it will burn for 8 hours and then turn back on again the same time the next night. We enjoyed this for a few years and I forgot about it during the summertime and the batteries died and eventually leaked. Well of course this damages the circuitry and corrodes the metal. I was able to clean it up and get it working again, but recently it started giving issues again due to the metal being damaged by the leaked batteries. I went on line a ordered a new one and it arrived quickly and worked perfectly. We will see if it holds as long as the last one. As other reviewers stated it isn’t super bright and it has a yellowish color…too yellow to look like a real candle flame….but it’s perfectly suited for what I’m using it for. Since the candle body cannot be seen through the tin lantern looks aren’t really important to me but it is a very nice looking candle. Plus it was only 6 bucks so no complaints here.

   These candles are so beautiful and antique looking. They were just what I wanted to put in my pewter wall sconces. However, the sconces hold a one inch diameter candle. These are one inch around the very bottom but then flare out at about 1/4 inch so that they did not fit at all in my sconces…they wobbled. I was so disappointed because they would have looked perfect and I love the timer feature. I love them so much that I bought a pair of little candle holders to use on a table or bookshelf. Really disappointed that I could not use them as I wanted to. The only reason they didn’t get a Five star from me.

   Love this candle, you can use batteries and a nice glow happens. It fit my colonial candle holder spot on. The color is mustard and looks like a real bees wax candle. Just love it and will purchase more candles. Thank You!

   Love, love these candles! I ordered 10 of them and loved them so much that I ordered 10 more! I have stuck them in Christmas decorations where electric string lights or battery operated string lights would not work. I have used all 20. One of the best purchases that I have ever made! Did I say that I loved them?!????????????????????

   I like the auto timer and the warm light they give off. I have these all over my house for decoration. They are not for the purpose of lighting up a room as in a power outage. They are more for the creating a warm feeling in your home.
