    I needed a display stand for an antique demitasse teacup and saucer, and I wanted something sturdier and nicer than some of the plain metal stands I had been considering. This worked out well. It looks good, and it is a safe, secure way to display this particular antique.The only criticism I have is that the wooden piece in the back, that the saucer rests on, sits slightly off center on the back of the wooden base. (The pre-drilled hole in the base is a little bit off to one side.) Also, when I was putting it together, I had a little bit of difficulty getting the upright piece to sit flush on the base, because at least one of the pre-drilled holes seems to be off-plumb, going into the wood at an angle. I detracted one star for this, but I didn’t detract more than that because it is not very visible once the saucer is sitting on the stand.

    This cup and saucer display stand is exactly the size I needed to display a small souvenir cup and saucer. The stem has to be attached to the base with the provided screw, which took a little bit of work because it’s hard to hold the stem in place and drive in the screw (there’s no place for resistance, so I had to twist the stem a bit in the opposite direction with one hand while I turned the screw with the other hand). Otherwise, it is perfect, and I’m satisfied.
